\"\"<\/a>News is out officially yesterday about a next chapter in my academic and professional career. After 17 years of service to the Bolz Center for Arts Administration in the Wisconsin School of Business, ten as its director, I have accepted a faculty position at American University<\/a> to begin in the fall. Part of the reason I haven’t posted to this blog in a very long time has been the decision and transition to this exciting next adventure.<\/p>\n

I came to Wisconsin as a graduate student in Arts Administration 20 years ago this August. And in many ways, I’ve been a student of arts and cultural management ever since. I cannot express the pride and privilege I feel in my many years of association with this Wisconsin program, and to the brilliant family of students, alumni, faculty, and staff that make it shine. It’s heartbreaking to leave, but the opportunity to take on a new challenge, with an extraordinary team of Arts Management faculty, in a global cultural city were too great to ignore.<\/p>\n

I’ll be transitioning to Washington, DC, later this summer, after ensuring a healthy transition for the Bolz Center for Arts Administration in the coming months. You can expect an international search soon for a new Director for Wisconsin Arts Administration program, which has some extraordinary evolutions coming soon, as well.<\/p>\n

I’ll keep blogging, of course (once I actually start blogging again). But my coordinates will be slightly to the East.<\/p>\n
