Whether in the form of e-mail, postal letter, notecard, or treatise nailed to a church door, these writing tasks are relentless, filling our to-do list as fast as we can crank them to the outbox.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"grievance.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/artfulmanager\/images\/grievance.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-left\" style=\"margin: 0pt 20px 20px 0pt; float: left;\" height=\"179\" width=\"198\" \/>Which is why I&#8217;m growing rather fond of the <a href=\"http:\/\/bureauofcommunication.com\/\">Bureau of Communication<\/a>, and their handy fill-in forms for personal and professional correspondence. Just a few nouns and adjectives, and you&#8217;re on your way to drafting <a href=\"http:\/\/bureauofcommunication.com\/compose\/unsolicitedfeedback\">unsolicited feedback<\/a>, an <a href=\"http:\/\/bureauofcommunication.com\/compose\/air\">airing of grievance<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/bureauofcommunication.com\/compose\/apology\">formal apology<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/bureauofcommunication.com\/compose\/gratitude\">statement of gratitude<\/a>, or a number of other essential messages (such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/bureauofcommunication.com\/compose\/romanticintent\">declaration of romantic intent<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Significantly better than having to think it all up from scratch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So much of an arts manager&#8217;s time is spent preparing written communications &#8212; thank you letters, invitations, editorials, complaints, and the like.
