The study confirms the current theory that the same cells that were active during the original experience are the ones that fire when that experience is recalled. &#8221;For the brain,&#8221; says the article, &#8221;remembering is a lot like doing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve focused a number of blog posts on the science of the human brain (like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/artfulmanager\/2008\/03\/the-we-inside-of-me.php\">this one<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/artfulmanager\/2007\/12\/heres-what-our-production-line.php\">this one<\/a>), because to me, those insights are central to framing, advancing, and enhancing the work of the arts organization.
