I&nbsp; learned from the staff how to be one of them. A small team of real reporters still work there, but what they do is strangely not featured and even hard to find on the site, where cute puppies and hot chicks get clicks. <\/p>\n<p>The demise of the paper is now a documentary short (<i>It&#8217;s In The PI<\/i>) being <a href=\"http:\/\/www.siff.net\/festival\/film\/detail.aspx?id=29130&amp;FID=123\">screened<\/a> Friday night as part of the Seattle Film Festival. I heard about the film for the first time today from Facebook. I&#8217;d feel strange to be so outside the loop, but <a href=\"http:\/\/visualeditors.ning.com\/profile\/CurtMilton\">Curt Milton<\/a> (former PI page designer) didn&#8217;t know.&nbsp; When the paper was a paper, he knew everything. <\/p>\n<p>Brief clip from the brief film <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/event.php?eid=80306312831&amp;ref=mf#\/video\/video.php?v=76680943007&amp;oid=80306312831\">here<\/a>, featuring <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seattlepi.com\/connelly\/\">Joel Connelly<\/a> quoting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abbeyweb.net\/\">Edward Abbey<\/a>: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When the situation is hopeless, there&#8217;s nothing to worry about.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On a more positive note, there&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.townhallseattle.org\/calendar.cfm\">community tribute<\/a> to the PI on June 3 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.townhallseattle.org\/index.cfm\">Town Hall Seattle<\/a>. Free admission. Both laid off PI people and the online-only PI people will show up to pretend everything&#8217;s peachy.
