While it still meant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J1w9Xahzv8Y\">stuck-on-you<\/a>, it acquired a penumbra of the outcast otherworldly. Titled <i>Nascent<\/i>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gerrisayler.com\/Gerri_Sayler_Installation_Artist\/Home.html\">Gerri Sayler<\/a>&#8216;s transparent, kinky, hot-glue strands hang in the air in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.suyamapetersondeguchi.com\/art\/index.asp\">Suyama Space<\/a> like cloud tendrils. They are neither metaphors for sexual attraction nor reminders of the functional, but there is a hint of lives wasted.&nbsp; If they were ribbons, they&#8217;d be the kind purchased straight that bounce back curly when run along a knife&#8217;s edge. That, or unraveling lace. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"gerrisaylersspace.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/anotherbb\/gerrisaylersspace.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"text-align: center; display: block; margin: 0pt auto 20px;\" height=\"744\" width=\"486\" \/>More than 2,000 strands make an overhead cove in the gallery space. Each one is a vertical drawing, a dissolute calligraphy lost in the chorus of its fellows. <\/p>\n<p>Diaphanous membranes are having their moment.
