So is <a href=\"http:\/\/collectionsonline.lacma.org\/mwebcgi\/mweb.exe?request=record;id=161897;type=101\">Chris Burden<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheilaklein.com\/pages\/vermonica.htm\">Sheila Klein<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kemperart.org\/permanent\/works\/Hodges.asp\">Jim Hodges<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moma.org\/modernteachers\/large_image.php?id=280\">Jeff Wall<\/a>, among others. Because there is no more than a genetic hair&#8217;s difference between us and chimps, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/commentisfree\/belief\/video\/2009\/dec\/19\/terry-pratchett-religion\">Terry Pratchett<\/a> thinks electric lights are more interesting than stars. We swung down from the trees to cast our light against the dark.<\/p>\n<p>Nakamura, <i>Filament Drawing<\/i>, porcelain, DVD projection, 2010. The dark bulb is stage set for the electronic drawing, a line that advances, coils and disappears to reemerge for another try &#8211; let there be thin, fragile lines of experimental effort.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"yukinakamuralitedraw.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.artsjournal.com\/anotherbb\/yukinakamuralitedraw.jpg\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"margin: 0pt auto 20px; text-align: center; display: block;\" height=\"456\" width=\"304\" \/><i>Light Bubbles<\/i> (porcelain, plexiglas) depends upon conditions in the room, either projecting rabbit ear shadows or pooling its darks at each bulb&#8217;s base.
