Manager of Foundation Partnerships – Sphinx Organization

The Manager of Foundation Partnerships is a leader in connecting the work of the Sphinx Organization directly to its foundation partners: the largest group that makes up Sphinx’s contributed revenue. Through robust and dynamic grant writing and a large volume of proposal submissions this position is charged with securing $3.3M in revenue under the supervision and in partnership with the Chief Advancement Officer. The work of this position fully supports, serves and is related to fundraising for the four programmatic pillars of Sphinx: Education and Access, Artist Development, Performing Artists, and Arts Leadership.

This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and includes:

  • Grant writing, submission, reporting and coordination with Programming Team year-round
  • Close management of the Foundation calendar, deadlines, timelines and alerts
  • Support of development efforts through grant processing, data management and cultivation of foundation counterparts
  • Year-round directed research of new sources and opportunities

Requirement and Qualifications:

  • Passion and deep understanding of Sphinx’s mission and core values
  • Interest in classical music
  • Robust fluency in communication
  • Expert knowledge of relevant technology
  • High degree of responsiveness, availability and ability to shift/change
  • Driven, organized, detail oriented, and thorough approach to all aspects of role and responsibilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects and competing deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a ROWE model (Results Only Work Environment)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and ideally 2 years minimum of experience in related field

Competitive annual salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, in the range of $65,000-$70,000 salary plus a competitive benefits package
