VILLAGE THEATRE with locations in Issaquah and Everett, WA, invites applicants and nominations for its Managing Director. The Managing Director (MD) will serve in a co-equal partnership with a new Artistic Director to be named in early 2022. Each will report to the Board through its President.

This will be a new leadership structure for Village Theatre; previously, the Artistic Director reported to the Executive Producer. These two leaders will share the responsibility for institutional leadership. Together they must articulate a future vision that fully aligns with the mission as well as motivate staff, Board, and others to move collectively toward that vision. Further, the co-leaders must build the working culture of this theater, already strong, in a way that facilitates the best work of the entire team.

The MD is expected to be a critical civic partner with the AD, being both a strong internal manager with an obvious and enthusiastic external presence in the Puget Sound area.

Village Theatre has engaged Management Consultants for the Arts to lead the search for their Artistic Director, and interested candidates may apply for this position by visiting this link:
