Norman Lebrecht on shifting sound worlds

A Chinese conductor, Lv Jia, replaced Jansons for Ein Heldenleben.
It’s Lü Jia. Family name is Lü. He is music director of the Orquestra de Macau:
Lv is a commonly accepted alternative spelling for Lü. See the fourth bullet point in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinyin#Orthography as a reference.
A recurrent misnaming: the orchestra is named the (Royal) Concertgebouw Orchestra. Their home in Amsterdam is the Concertgebouw, which means concert building.
