What was Nigel Kennedy playing on Last Night of the Proms?

Not a Strad, that’s for sure. At any rate, not in the lightning Czardas with Klezmer improvisations.

What, then?

We made some inquiries. It was a recent, British-made Bouette, costing around £10,000 ($16,000).

Who needs a Strad?

Amazing! Better than any komedian! And it would be just nonsense to play this on a Strad.
