First time ever: Anne-Sophie Mutter goes clubbing

The Ice Queen of the violin is about to let her hair down. We hear that Ms Mutter is to make an impromptu appearance tomorrow night at Universal’s Yellow Lounge in Berlin, the first time she has ever appeared professionally outside the tight corsets of classical concerts.

She will play something called ‘live-act-1′ with the pianist Michael Abramovitch.

‘Live-act-2′ is called Ensemble Adapter and involves a washing machine. We kid you not. Click here.

    A scheduled “impromptu” appearance. Gosh.

  2. Wow, that’s a nasty way to refer to her. Why is she required to be a musical party girl??

  3. “The Ice Queen?”
    Mee-YOW…

I was a rock musician before a near fatal accident ended my career. During my recovery, I found that I could not stand to listen to anything other than classical and some jazz music (this is still the case many years later). Mutter’s Carmen-Fantasie is the first classical CD I ever bought. She was my introduction into the classical world and I cannot thank her enough for doing so.
