Our social affairs correspondent is delighted to share this family photograph of Nathan Schoenberg, putting on tefillin (phylacteries) for the first time in a traditional ceremony in Los Angeles.
Nathan is the son of E. Randol Schoenberg, acting executive director at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust.
The Schoenberg family keeps on growing. There are two new Arnold Schoenberg great-grandchildren. Randol’s sister Melanie had a baby boy (Nicholas Rescorla) last Friday. And his cousin Camille had a little girl (Annabelle Weber) last month. On the Greissle side there are two new great-great-great-grandchildren of Arnold Schoenberg: Noah Barbieri born in April and Ryan Young born last November.
We wish them every happiness and success.
