The bass-baritone Ferrucio Furlanettohas pulled out with a cold and the soprano Kristine Opolais is still a question mark. She’s at Nelsons’s bedside, as his wife.

Conductor Carlo Montanaro, in his BSO debut, will step in for Andris Nelsons for the performance of the Verdi Requiem on Saturday, July 27. Bass-baritone Eric Owens will replace Ferruccio Furlanetto who has a bad cold.
