Russian wins Vienna Beethoven prize

Maria Mazo gets to keep that Bösendorfer, plus 8,000 Euros.

Second in the 14th International Beethoven Piano Competition was a fellow-Russian, Andrei Gugnin, jointly with an Austrian, Valentin Fheodoroff.

  1. Just one observation – Andrei Gugnin has a piano duo called iDuo along with Van Cliburn winner Vadym Kholodenko. It’s been a good month for the group.
