Supreme Court steps in to separate two orchestras

We were a little surprised to receive an agent’s announcement that the conductor Lawrence Golan is taking over as principal conductor of the Seoul Philharmonic. Surely that’s Myung Whun Chung’s orchestra, blazoned over half a dozen DG albums?

Apparently not. It seems there are two orchestras in Seoul using that name. The Supreme Court has just stepped in, telling Golan’s band to choose another name.
