Ligeti’s pianist has died

Erika Haase, best known for introducing the Ligeti Etudes, has died, aged 78. A close friend of the composer’s, she was professor at the conservatory in Hanover, where her pupils included¬†¬†Andreas Staier and Ingo Metzmacher.
