Just in: top tenor takes on new career as festival director

Michael Schade, the German-Canadian tenor who works in all the top houses, has become artistic director of the baroque festival in Melk, Austria. His first signing: Nikolaus Harnoncourt’s Concentus Musicus as resident orchestra. Ambitious.
