  1. Ganya is indeed a great singer and a lovely person- yet it’s not her in the photo!

  2. Such good news! And I am very excited for Ganya! The only question I have about this article, though, is this: Who is the girl in the picture? That isn’t Ganya!

  3. David Nordell says:

It’s very appropriate that an Israeli should win the Hilde Zadek competition: Zadek lived and taught in Israel for a while; and she and my late mother, Vera Rozsa, sang together in the celebration concerts in Vienna for the first anniversary of Israel’s Declaration of Independence.

  4. I just worked with this tremendously talented singer. Mazel tov, Ganya!

  5. Omer Shomrony says:

I should add that her name is written Gan-Ya, literally The Garden of God in Hebrew. A unique name for a unique singer .

  6. andreas schulz says:

Congratulations for the winner! Gan-Ya has a very nice voice and she gave us a lovely show. Thank you, Gan-Ya! It was a tough competition, though, and many other finalists could have won the first prize too. Especially the young Finnish soprano had amazing voice and beautiful interpretation of the songs.
