Breaking: Korean wins biggest wind prize

Kyeong Ham, 19, an oboe student of Nicholas Daniel’s at Trossingen, has swept away all top prizes at the Muri competition in Switzerland. He took the SFr 50,000 first prize, the audience prize and a special contemporary music prize for playing a Heinz Holliger sonata.
