First glimpses of the flying Dutchman’s new opera

Michel van der Aa’s new multimedia opera Sunken Garden is one of the more hotly anticipated events of the year. The Grawemeyer-winning Dutch composer has a techie mind and a restless spirit. The opera will receive its world premiere at Barbican Centre on 12 April. With a libretto by Cloud Atlas author David Mitchell, Sunken Garden is a fusion of live performance, electronics, 2D and 3D film. Here are the clips:
