  1. Congratulations, Maestro!

  2. Martin Locher says:

With his future cleared, he can now fully focus on guest conducting my local band in St. Gallen, Switzerland next week.

  3. Slobodeniouk has studied with Panula, but I don’t think Panula was the professor any more by the time Slobodeniouk started in the conducting class at the Sibelius Academy. I guess you could say “Panula’s class” in the sense of his legacy. The job is currently open, by the way. Atso Almila (Slobodeniouk’s professor) has been appointed again for a short temporary term until they find a new person.
