At a time when music media everywhere are under pressure from online media, a new magazine for classical music has been launched in Russia. It is funded by the Irina Arkhipova Foundation and edited by the respected Elena Yezerskaya. The launch cover looks pretty strong.

One stated purpose is to report on some of the country’s outlying orchestras, opera houses and festivals that never get mainstream attention. te magazine launched on Friday with a modest print run of 3,000 copies.

This is excellent news, I will definitely subscribe. There’s been a major gap in the market for a long time – the grim publications currently produced in Russia don’t cut it at all.
Good news indeed. Is there a title or is it simply “Classical Music” ? Ann
The title, transliterated from the Russian in the image given, is “Muzykalny Zhurnal”, or “Musical Magazine” in English — admittedly not too imaginitive, but nevertheless a title.
