The father of fire-thrower Wesley Daniel, who saw him terribly burned during yesterday’s general rehearsal of Meistersinger, brings good news from the hospital. The burns are all external and Wesley is expected to go home on Thursday.
We wish him a speedy, pain-free recovery.

And here’s Wesley on his Facebook page:
“Dear everybody,
“That was pretty fucked up right? I only have second degree burns so my face should be just fine. If not, my next show will be “The Phantom of the Opera.” Thank you everyone soooooo much for your thoughts a prayers. I am the luckiest hideously deformed person in the world, but in all seriousness I am truly blessed to have all of you in my life. Thank you so much for being there. And yes, I would love a cake, Dan Stetzel.”
