National youth choir ex-director is found guilty of indecent assault on pupil

The jury at Manchester Crown Court have found Michael Brewer and his ex-wife Hilary Kay Brewer guilty of five counts of ¬†indecent assault on a girl pupil, aged 14. The girl was a student at Chetham’s Music School when the incidents occurred, between 1978 and 1982. The assaults took place both at the school and at their Manchester home.

The jury found Brewer not guilty on a charge of rape on the same victim. But read here what happened to her. This information was given by the judge to the jury after they had returned all the verdicts. The Brewers await sentencing for an evil that never ends.
