He has no website, nor anyone to tweet for him. He does most of his communications face to face. Which is why we cherish the great conductor for what he is, a thoroughly honest, immensely gifted musician with a heart as big as a hemisphere. He’s playing Olivier Messiaen’s Turangalila in his birthday week, two concerts in Munich, repeat in Paris.
