Sweden loses a symphonic father

Maurice Ingvar Karkoff died on Sunday, aged 85.

Mind the full name: his son, Ingvar Karkoff, is also a composer.

Karkoff senior composed sombre, tuneful symphonies. They speak highly in Sweden of his Sinfonia dolorosa.
