Russian soprano does it all for Pushkin

We’ve just heard that Julia Lezhneva, 23, is making an unscheduled London concert debut in March, to coincide with her first Decca recording. What’s nicer still is that she’s giving the proceeds to Pushkin House, the oligarch-free London centre for Russian culture.

  1. I heard this extraordinary gifted young soprano twice at the Salzburg Festival – she really has an outstanding voice and I am looking forward to more of her performances. Success!

But the recital will take place at St James’s, Piccadilly, not at Pushkin House.
