As someone who gets though more music products in a year than most handle in a lifetime, my concern is always to find an album that will last the test of time. One that I will return to for reference and listen to again for pleasure. Believe me, there aren’t that many.
But 2012 was pretty good. And when I had paid the dustman to cart off the dross I was left with half a dozen tough choices.
Would it be, for instance,
a revelation and a joy? Or how about the best Bloch Shelomo for half a century?
Or Nicky Benedetti’s brilliantly conceived Silver Violin?
All came close, but it was none of the above. You want to know the answer? Click right here, on sinfinimusic.com.
