We have been informed of the death, on Monday night, of Peter Kiesewetter, a leader of the New Simplicity movement in German music. He was 67 and had been in poor health for a long time.
An occasional player in the Bavarian radio orchestras and a frequent broadcaster, he experienced an epiphany on a visit to Israel in 1991 and subsequently titled many of his works in Hebrew – Bereshit, Tefila Le Moshe, and more.
