Vittoria Ottolenghi has died, aged 88. She was the leading critic, broadcaster and broadcast producer in her art form for decades, as well as helping to shape the Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto.

I’m truly sorry to hear this. I worked with Vittoria in Rome and at Spoleto. She was tough, qualified and for me a joy to work with. I learned a great deal from her. I’ve passed her house many times and didn’t take the time to see her in recent years. Shame on me. Ann
I was actually able to convince the pilot to keep our plane from taking off in Rome until her noon broadcast finished. By Friday, Vittoria completed a dance cycle. We didn’t want to miss the last episode! Only in Italy! Ann
