Many readers have wondered what happened next to Fabien Gilot, the French swimmer who caused a media sensation at the summer Olympics by showing off his Hebrew underarm tattoo in a victory tribute to a relative who was an Auschwitz survivor.
Well, Fabien is alive and well and – we learn today – newly appointed consultant de luxe for French television, commentating on his sport. Here’s an interview (en francais). I expect we’ll hear lots more of Fabien.
