Emma West, assistant leader of the second violins in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, had her violin grabbed by a thief as she rode the Vienna subway in September. This week, the police rounded up a gang of tourist-predator street robbers and found Emma’s instrument unharmed. ‘I didn’t think I was ever going to see it again,’ said Emma.
