This is a cautionary tale to all of us who get instruments stolen and make desperate offers for their return.
Hiphop artist Ryan Leslie did that when his lappie, with lots of music, was nicked in New York. A German visitor, Armin Augstein, found it while walking his dog. He claimed the reward. The musician refused to pay. A jury decided he must. ‘I love American justice,’ cried the plaintiff.
