It’s official: the world’s longest serving conductor is a Spaniard

Joan Garcés is 98 years old. Many in Valencia say he has been conducting forever.

The Guinness book of Records set its sleuths on the case and established, beyond reasonable doubt, that Joan has been conducting regional ensembles every season for 67 years.

Beat that!
