The Brodsky Quartet, whose cars were burgled last week in Haarlem leaving them without music or anything to wear, have been told by Dutch police that their property has been recovered.
It is due to be collected today from a police station outside Amsterdam.
UPDATE HAPPY ENDING: The luggage containing the scores was found by police near a canal outside Utrecht apparently after a car accident. No arrests were made. The police contacted Jacqueline Thomas after finding her passport in the luggage.
The quartet’s Dutch agent collected the scores from the police station this afternoon and shipped them to London, in good time for Monday’s Wheel concert at Birmingham Town Hall.

Fantastic fantastic news!
Please do all come along and celebrate with them (plus it is their 30th anniversary party)
Kings Place / 6 – 8 December
“Schubert’s majestic masterpiece Death and the Maiden sits alongside George Crumb’s haunting Black Angels for amplified quartet, while vocalist Jacqui Dankworth joins them to perform a selection of works for voice and string quartet from jazz and blues classics to folk, classical and rock. Finally, come and spin the Wheel of 4Tunes on Saturday and help shape their programme.”
