D Kern Holoman’s Very Short Introduction to The Orchestra is a smart and sassy guide to the ups and downs of the business of playing together, with several references (not all complimentary) to my writings on the subject.
Professor Holoman is more up-to-the-minute than most books from OUP. On page 99, he lists four indispensable blog sites, including this one, that take writing about orchestras into new media environments.
