François Xavier Roth has come out fighting to save the SWR Baden-Baden-Freiburg orch, which radio bosses have decided to merge with its Stuttgart ensemble.
‘I feel betrayed,’ says the Wayne Rooney lookalike in an interview today. ‘People round the world know the value of this orchestra. They are going to fight alongside us. If this merger goes through, they will have destroyed two orchestras and just left a bunch of musicians.’
