A short notice on his website announces the death of Carlo Curley, aged 59. No cause of death is yet known.
Curley recorded extensively for Decca and was widely known as a performer in the US, Britain and continental Europe.

I remember meeting him aged c.7 when he came to perform in Bedford and being somewhat inspired.
I saw Carlo about 30 years ago when he visited Nottingham Organ Society with a small Allen organ. He was practically unheard of at the time, but soon put the record straight by completely mesmerising the audience, including playing “Flight of the Bumblebee” ON THE PEDALS!! He will be sorely missed.
