Latest health bulletin on Kurt Masur

Two sources in his entourage tell us that the 84 year-old conductor spent a fairly comfortable night and day in a Paris hospital, after falling off the podium during a performance of Tchaikovsky’s sixtth symphony.

It has been established that no bones were broken and there appears to be no other damage. Kurt Masur is said to be in excellent spirits. He expects to leave hospital tonight.

Le Figaro has quickly published a pull-together piece on accidents in concerts.
