I may be reinforcing unfortunate stereotypes about the English talking of nothing but the weather, but I’m stereotypically rather excited about the prospect of a new cantata that charts six changes of weather on Hampstead Heath.
Composed by Benjamin Till for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, it takes evidence from different Hampstead choristers who observe the Heath at close hand and forms them into a coherent work of music.
