How Mahler’s 9th sounds with ringtone obbligato

Eduardo Strausser has sent me a doctored video of Leonard Bernstein conducting Mahler’s 9th symphony, demonstrating how an ill-disciplined phone can wreck the ending – as it did in New York this week.

    Methinks that someone is pulling our leg. This is the same ringtone as on my I-Phone, incidentally, and it certainly wasn’t around in 1990 while Bernstein was still alive! Nice try, though…
