Listening for the True Call
I am going to be offline for the rest of the week. No comments will be
approved until Saturday, and I probably won't be able to respond to
email until sometime after that, even. (Joining the NBCC Board means never having an empty inbox.)
Without going into too much detail now, let's just say I am going to attempt some time travel. Here is a clue:
That's my friend Phil Hostak whose cigarettes, lighter, and patience are being imposed upon. The last time I saw Phil was almost ten years ago, when he mentioned that this cafe had been torn down and replaced by a Starbucks. (Watching this clip now proves that my recent suspenders-and-t-shirt combination is not quite the sartorial innovation it once seemed to me.)
Okay, that's it from me, for a few days anyway. Just remember: Every single commodity you produce is a piece of your own death!
