The meticulous reports at http://www.publiceye.org/larouche/ seem sort of beyond the point, if Scott is right that all Larouche's intellectual divagations are basically psychopathological. Though you could say that about lots of other anti-Semites, I suppose.

You'll notice that the list includes Zoot Horn Rollo *and* Eddie Phillips of the Creation! Both of them kick ass almost as hard as Sister Rosetta Tharpe (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOmRm0-acJw).

Not two months ago, I and my beloved breezed by a table set up along a major thoroughfare in Berlin...a table stacked with LaRouche material, watched over by a sandwich-board poster of the big man himself!

"Who's *that*?" asked my perplexed Beloved.

"Don't turn around. Walk. *Fast*." Is all I could give by way of an answer.

You'll be gratified to know that Larouche "has connections to" (a favorite phrase of conspiracy theorists everywhere) Jude Wanniski: "It was around this time that Wanniski's nuttiness began manifesting itself in ways that even conservatives could recognize. Tony -- yeah, this is something that TNR has covered before. They had a feature on Wakkiski back in the 1990s that pointed out his links to LaRouche.

Steve -- crazy eyes indeed, a quality shared with his frau, who evidently has some profile on the fringes of German politics. Maybe not so much lately, since most of the European wing of his movement fled LaRouche in late 2006.
