Let Me Up on the Stand

It'll be slow here for a bit as I rush to meet some obligations. But the hiatus is over.

For theme music, let us now return, brothers and sisters, to Detroit on Halloween 1968....

So does anyone know when the documentary is coming out on DVD? Or maybe that should be "if." I've been waiting for a while.

Last I heard, Wayne Kramer was blocking the film's release because he claims he was told he would be the film's music producer and the filmmakers reneged on the promise. The filmmakers deny that they promised that. This was like 2 or 3 years ago, though, so maybe that's been settled.

Right, that's the story I heard as well -- that he wanted to produce an MC5 tribute album tied to the movie, ans wasn't willing to sign off on use of the original songs in documentary itself unless they agreed.

But years have passed and still no DVD. It's listed as forthcoming in Netflix, for example, but no due date is announced.
