I am Digital Culture Reporter for National Public Radio. I'd like to find a way for NAJP to continue to offer some kind of fellowships for arts journalists even if we can't return to the days when it lasted for an entire nine months. Over the next year what I hope is that we can come up with a realistic vision to make that happen. I would also like the organization to be a respected voice and resource for arts journalists in this changing media landscape. We need an organization that has enough gravitas to actually help shape the way the arts are being covered online and elsewhere. I would also like to see the organization remain more than just a professional organization to which anyone can belong for the price of a membership. It should remain prestigious.
