Currently I am the arts and entertainment editor for asap at The Associated Press in New York City. asap is a new imprint at The Associated Press; we went live Sept '05 and we offer content across a variety of platforms. Our stated goal is to hit the exalted 18-34 demographic and I tend to see what we do as more of a modernization effort. You can see asap at: asap.ap.org. Prior to coming to New York (I completed my NAJP fellowship in '04) I was the arts and culture editor at Willamette Week in Portland, Oregon for five years (and a freelancer there for five years before that.) WW is an alt-weekly. What do I want the new NAJP to be? Alive would be a good start.
