Chloe Veltman

is a San Francisco Bay Area-based theatre critic, arts journalist and musician.
Chloe has worked as both a staff reporter for The Daily Telegraph and as a freelance writer, her articles appearing on both sides of the Atlantic in such publications as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The Financial Times, The Guardian, The Believer and American Theatre Magazine. She is the chief theatre critic of SF Weekly, theatre commentator for NPR affiliate KALW (91.7FM), and serves on the Glickman Theatre Award Panel. Her first book, On Acting, was published by Faber & Faber in the UK and Faber Inc in the US. A member of the early music choral ensemble, San Francisco Renaissance Voices, Chloe also plays the oboe and cor anglais in various Bay Area chamber music ensembles and orchestras. 

She was born in London and currently lives in San Francisco with her husband James and their cat Squelly.
