whoyou3.jpgA professional critic for more than two decades, Jerome Weeks is the arts producer-reporter for KERA, the NPR/PBS station for Dallas-Fort Worth. Before that, he was the book columnist and before that the theater critic for The Dallas Morning News ...

... His writing has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Newsday, American Theatre magazine, Men's Vogue and Variety as well as on Studio 360 on NPR. Mr. Weeks was an entertainment reporter for the Houston Post and an associate editor for Third Coast magazine. He has won three Katie Awards, Texas' highest journalism prize. He has appeared on C-SPAN's Booknotes and the PBS documentary, Sweet Tornado: Margo Jones and the American Theater, now available on DVD.

Mr. Weeks has a master's in literature from the University of Connecticut, studied toward a Ph.D. at the University of Texas and spent a year on fellowship at Columbia University. He is a member of the National Book Critics Circle and was a member of the American Theatre Critics Association, hosting their 1995 convention.

Despite all that, he's a modest fellow. And shy. With good reason.
