    About 33 FAINTING SPELLS

    Co-founded ten years ago by Dayna Hanson and Gaelen Hanson, 33 Fainting Spells has created six evening-length dance theater productions, two short films and three editions of New Dance Cinema, a festival of contemporary dance film and video.  The company’s upcoming projects include two new short film projects and New Dance Cinema 2005, to be presented in partnership with Northwest Film Forum in May 2005.  33 Fainting Spells will take Our Little Sunbeam on an 8-city national tour during the 2004 – 2005 season.

    1996:  The Uninvited commissioned by On the Boards for New Performance Series
    1997:  Sorrow’s Sister commissioned by New City Theater. 
    1998:  Maria The Storm Cloud commissioned by On the Boards, Dance Theater Workshop & DiverseWorks in Houston
    2000:  September September presented by Seattle Theatre Group at The Moore
    2001:  Measure premieres at Seattle International Film Festival, screens internationally
    2002:  Dirty Work co-sponsored by Richard Hugo House
    2003:  Entry premieres at Seattle International Film Festival, screens internationally
